Kinetiscope is derived in part from source code for the Chemical Kinetics Simulator project, available at http://code.google.com/p/chemical-kinetics-simulator/, which is used under license. A copy of the Chemical Kinetics Simulator license (Apache License 2.0) can be found in the "licenses" subdirectory of the installed program.

Kinetiscope makes use of the following third-party software application programs. The application FFmpeg is started as a separate process by Kinetiscope to prepare video files of simulation results. FFmpeg is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License version 2.1 . A copy of the FFmpeg executable program, source code and licenses can be found in the "ffmpeg" subdirectory of the installed program.
