Three-Dimensional Plot Settings Dialog
This dialog is used to modify an existing waterfall, surface, or volume plot window. The dialog has five pages.
Color Page

The vertical bar in this group displays the currently loaded color map, which specifies different colors for the range of parameter values from 0 to 100% of full scale. You may modify the color map using the following controls:
- Opacity
- This defines the transparency of the color map. The
slider scale ranges from completely
transparent to completely opaque. Move the slider handle to the right to increase
opacity/decrease transparency.
Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether the opacity should be constant or should be adjusted to be proportional to the value of the parameter being plotted.
- Change Color Map... Push Button

When you click this
push button, a Select Color Map File Dialog is activated, which you use
to choose and load a color map. When you highlight a map file in the Color Map File Dialog's list, the dialog bar displays
a preview of its colors. Click the
Open push button on the Color Map File Dialog to load and apply a new color map. - Change to Monochrome... Push Button

A monochrome color map represents different parameter values with different intensities of
a single color. When you click this push button, a Select Color Dialog is displayed. Use the Select Color Dialog to
choose a color to be used for the monochrome color map. Choose a new color and click the
OK push button on the Select Color Dialog to apply the new monochrome color map to the plot. - Invert Color Map Push Button
- This action retains the existing color map but reverses its relation to the parameter values.
- Undo Changes Push Button
- Clicking this button recalls the color map in use when this dialog was invoked.
- Reset to Default Push Button
- Clicking this button sets the color map to the default stored internally by Kinetiscope.
Orientation Page

Rotation
This group of controls provides a means for changing the viewing angles of the plot. You may rotate the plot around its horizontal and vertical axes, and clockwise/counterclockwise about the axis perpendicular to the screen.
- press the left mouse button while the mouse cursor is over the index mark on a dial.
- While holding down the mouse button, move the mouse cursor to rotate the dial clockwise and counterclockwise, rotating the plot.
- Release the mouse button at the new orientation.
Preset Views
This group of controls provides a means for directly viewing on the the six faces of the plot. Click on one of arrow pushbuttons to select a view angles.

Proportions Page

Axis Proportions
Use these sliders to adjust the relative proportions of the the three axes in the graph. The Zoom slider resizes the entire graph without changing its proportions.
- Move the mouse cursor over the slider handle.
- Press and hold the left mouse button.
- Move the slider handle to the right or left to increase or decrease, respectively, the axis proportion.
- Release the mouse button when you are satisfied with the axis length.

Details Page

From this page you may set the visibility of certain features on the graph, and adjust font sizes and text spacings.
- Click the appropriate check box in the Show Grids group.
- Adjust the appropriate spin box in the Font Sizes group.
- Select the appropriate radio button in the Coordinate Style group.
Using the slider control at the bottom of this page, you may adjust the positions of the numbers and labels on the axes. Click the Show Legend check box at the bottom of the page to change the visibility of the colored legend bar on the graph. Click the Smooth Lines check box to turn on and off anti-aliasing of the axis lines. If enabled, click the Show Edges check box to change the visibility of edges of rectangular plot features such as bars or compartments.
Limits Page
From this page you may specify new limits for all three axes.

If an axis displays numeric values, like concentration or time, data entry fields are provided for you to type in numeric values. If an axis displays the ordinal locations of compartments, then spin boxes are used to set the axis limits.
- Click the Specify Limits: radio button for the axis.
- Type new values into the Minimum and Maximum data entry fields, or use the up/down arrays on the First and Last spin boxes to adjust the entries.
